Garut is Swiss van Java
Dalam dua kali kunjungannya ke Garut yaitu pada tahun 1928 dan 1933, aktor terkenal Charlie Chaplin menyebutkan bahwa Garut Swissnya di Jawa, sehingga beliau menyebutnya "Swiss van Java".
in his visit to Garut twice in 1928 and 1933, the famous actor charlie chaplin mention that Garut is switzerland in Java, so he was called Garut with "Swiss van Java".
